Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Virginia residents who are 18 years of age or older, reside in the within 60 miles of Richmond International Raceway, and if entering via Facebook, be an existing user of Facebook.com.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Communications LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WRLH (the “Station”), Richmond International Raceway, Facebook, Inc., Facebook.com, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba Upickem, Instagram, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. One entry per IP address.
(b) To enter, log onto www.foxrichmond.com or http://www.facebook.com/foxrichmond to access and complete the online entry form with your name, address, phone number, birth date, and upload three pictures taken from different angles of YOUR home decorated with various racing décor/paraphernalia, and submit. The pictures must be of the entrant’s home . No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted. Each picture must be submitted in jpg format in order to be posted. Picture entries received, regardless of method of entry, may be posted on the Fox Richmond Instagram page.
(c)By entering, entrants represent and warrant (i) that they own the picture submitted, (ii) the picture is of his/her residence; (iii) the picture does not violate the rights of any third parties, (iv) the picture has not been altered or enhanced with any software (excluding redeye), and (v) that they agree to the terms and conditions located at http://www.foxrichmond.com/sections/station/tos.shtml. No lewd, nude, crude, or offensive photographs (as determined by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion) will be accepted. The Station reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry.
(d) The contest starts on August 15, 2013, and all entries must be received by Station by 5:00 p.m. EDT on August 27, 2013. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(e) Each entry will be judged and scored by a panel of four (4) judges comprised of Station personnel based on the following criterion: 33% use of racing content, 33% appearance, and 33% creativity. On August 28, 2013 the judges will determine one (1) winner and one (1) second place winner based on the score for the criterion set forth above. The decisions of the judges shall be final.
(f) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. One grand prize winner will receive the following prize: a) a block/tailgate party for their family and up to 100 people which includes food, soft drinks, and paper products, two (2) tickets to the Sprint Cup Series Federated Auto Parts 400 race, tickets for up to 98 friends, family and neighbors of winner (guest list to be provided by winner) to the Sprint Cup Series Federated Auto Parts 400 on Saturday, September 7, 2013, roundtrip transportation for the winner and guests from winner’s home address to Richmond International Raceway via James River Motor Coach from the grand prize. The entire grand prize package is valued at $12,423.. The grand prize winner is responsible for obtaining permission from any local authorities or home owners association as may be necessary for a block/tailgate party. The block/tailgate party will occur on the same date as the race. One (1) second prize winner will receive one (1) Char-Broil Gourmet (model #463250512) propane barbeque grill, with cover valued at $451.00.
2. Winner(s) will be notified by phone or email. Before claiming prizes, winners must provide their correct name, address and telephone number to Station at the time of notification. Winner(s) must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 2 days of notification at the time winner(s) claim his/her prize in person at the Station. All persons traveling on the trip must be 18 years of age or over, unless travelers under 18 are accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal guardian of all of the minors. All persons traveling on the trip must also sign and return a release which must be returned with the winner’s release and affidavit of eligibility within the time frame specified above. Winner(s) must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If the winner cannot be notified within 3 days, or does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and the prize will be awarded to the runner-up as determined by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. Each ticket recipient and prize winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winner must sign a W-9 form.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per household.
7. Sinclair Communications LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. The Station, sponsors, and prize provider shall not be responsible for winner’s failure to take the trip within the time frame described above, or cancellation of the trip by the winner.
8. Sinclair Communications LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Communications LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Miscellaneous
1. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WRLH-TV, 1925 Westmoreland St. Richmond, VA 23230 and on the Station’s website at www.foxrichmond.com.
2. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to WRLH-TV, 1925 Westmoreland St. Richmond, VA 23230 by October 1, 2013.
3. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Communications LLC, and Richmond International Raceway accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
4. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.
5. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
6. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Station, any sponsors, and their respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
