Who Can Enter

1.  To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Virginia residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the WRLH-TV viewing area.   Due to the nature of the prize, entrants should plan to marry by December 31, 2013

2.  Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Television of Charleston, Inc., and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WRLH-TV (the “Station”), The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, The Boathouse, (“Sponsor”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.  The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household.

How to Enter

(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per contestant.

(b)  To enter, log on to www.foxrichmond.com and click on the Finally The Bride contest button. Fill out the online entry form with your name, address, age and phone, then upload a photo depicting YOURSELF in the worst bridesmaid dress.  Photos must be in jpeg format and cannot exceed 200mb in size.   No vulgar or offensive photos will be accepted. Station reserves the right to accept or deny photo entries based on content. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted. No incomplete entries will be accepted.

(c) By entering, entrants represent and warrant (i) that they own the photograph submitted, (ii) it does not violate the rights of any third parties,  (iii) the picture has not been altered or enhanced with any software (excluding redeye), and (iv) that they agree to the terms and conditions located at http://foxrichmond.com/sections/station/terms.shtml.  No lewd, nude, or offensive photographs (as determined by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion) will be accepted.  The Station reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry.
(d) The contest starts on Wednesday January 18, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. EST and all entries must be received by the Station by Sunday February 19, 2012 at 12:00am EST.  Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.

(e) A panel of three (3) judges comprised of Station personnel will select up to five (5) finalists based on the photos which are determined to contain the top five (5) ugliest bridesmaid dresses.  From February 27, 2012 until March 4, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. EST viewers will have the ability to vote for their favorite finalists’ picture.  Voting will be limited to one vote per URL address per day.

(f) One (1) winner will be selected based on the highest number of votes received by the end of the voting deadline on Sunday March 4, 2011.

(g) All entries (including pictures) received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void.  All entries (including pictures) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.

The Prize(s)

1. One (1) grand prize winner will receive a Boathouse @ Rocketts Landing gift certificate to be used towards their rehearsal dinner, or wedding venue rental.   The grand prize is valued at approximately Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).  The prize must be used by December 31,2013  The prize is for wedding rehearsal dinner, or wedding venue rental only and is subject to the rental requirements of The Boathouse.

2. Winner will be notified by phone. Winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within five (5) days of notification. Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes.  Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.

3. If the winner cannot be notified within five (5) days, or does not timely return the affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and the prize will awarded to the finalist with the next highest number of votes.

4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station.  The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value.  No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.

5. The winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules.  

6. Only one prize will be awarded per household.  Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any 30 day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.

7. Sinclair Television of Charleston, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. 

8. Sinclair Television of Charleston, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.

9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Television of Charleston, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.

Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous

1. Odds of winning depend on the number of votes received.

2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WRLH 1925 Westmoreland Street, Richmond VA 23230 or on the Station’s website at www.foxrichmond.com

3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to FOX Richmond 1925 Westmoreland Street, Richmond VA 23230 by March 31, 2012.

4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.  Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Television of Charleston, Inc., The Douglas Group, Inc., and The Boathouse @ Rockett’s Landing accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.

5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.

6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
